Talk:Jade (Eberron Nights Supplement)

Specific?

Can these be treated as normal materials (and linked to from User Mundane Materials as well as this CS) or are they specific to Eberron Nights? --Green Dragon 18:38, 27 September 2007 (MDT)

The 5 Magic Metals are from the White Wolf exalted system. They exist in the EbNights world because of the cataclysm, Jade is one of the materials. Jason DM 19:01, 27 September 2007 (MDT)
First off are they licensed under the OGL or GNU FDL? --Green Dragon 22:19, 27 September 2007 (MDT)
They arent part of D&D at all, they are from another game world completely so they dont fall under the OGL, I have no idea what GNU FDL is. Im not in any way claiming that the ideas so far on my magic section are mine, just the basics of the concepts im incorperating into my world. The warforged in Eberron have Adamantite and Mithril Body 'skins' and the game doesnt go into the sepcifics of the ancient waforged, so I used the 5 metals for the warforged as a varient option. GNU FDL (GNU FreeDoc License) is what this site uses. Anyway, do you know what they are licensed under or do you think it really does not matter? --Green Dragon 23:07, 3 October 2007 (MDT)
I have no clue what the licenses are for them, I dont plan on infringing on them or making any money off their use so it shouldnt matter. If it somehow becomes some kind of legal issue Ill just remove the material from the section. Im in the process of reworking the Materia section so its my own but the base concept remains the same. I cant find a specific License on the White Wolf hoempage, but I did include mentions of the Exalted game from which the mechanic came from and links to the White Wolf homepage. This started as a question about including it in the metals section, and has become a tangent, what do you mean by the metals section considering Jade is technically a mineral. gollark: That would make sense.
gollark: I'm not hip and with it (yo) when it comes to all these... generation name things? What's a "doomer"?
gollark: I do generally prefer flying to cars for reasonably long distances, but the whole "security" thing at airports really does a great job at making me reevaluate that. And is not actually improving security at all.
gollark: How does hyperloop compare to regular maglevs?
gollark: The Thought Police ~~would like to~~ know your location.
