Talk:Hero (3.5e Template)
I know that this template was here before, or should I say similar template. I didn't create the previous version, and can't recreate it exactly the same. I do not think it's so insanely powerful as Marasmusine said, also it's less powerful than the original. Beside insane amount of feats you can reach very alike (sometimes even better) results by combining a few templates with lower Level Adjustment than this one. I even think it's not worth LA 5 that I gave it. Do not forget, that templates with LA are used almost only by fighting characters, because no spellcaster would like lose spells per day, and caster level, and for martial characters there is always to little feats over twenty levels, because you need "this one, that one to, and also a hundred others" to become at least a little bit powerful as spellcasting characters. --—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 79.184.28.202 (talk • contribs) . - Sure, I reckon a level 1 fighter with this template would lose to a level 5 fighter without. But at like, level 2 or 3, a fighter with this template would outrank anything else of equal ECL. Things like one bonus feat/level are silly bonuses that are going to always level people with this template overpowered. Check for example the Lich template, which essentially gives +5 AC, d12 HD, a few minor bonuses and undead qualities. That's LA +4. This has +10 AC (as the rare luck and insight bonus types), d12 HD, Insane amount of feats, damage bonus, DR, Fast healing, Insane ability bonuses, Wild speed increase and a couple other big bonuses, I would give that LA +8 as a minimum, personally. I'm sure there are other templates you could stack to be broken, but that's no reason to make more unbalanced ones. --SgtLion (talk) 03:35, 9 October 2015 (MDT)
