Talk:Gleeman (3.5e Class)

Wheel of Time?

I assume I'm right in thinking this is inspired from the Wheel of Time series of fantasy literature, in which case I suggest you pick up a Wheel of Time RPG book. I have the book, and in it there are classes for everything from Aes Sedai Initiates to accomplished Gleemen. Perhaps you should take a look at that before proceeding any further with this class.

On a somewhat unrelated note, what the heck is with gaining the benefit of a Cloak of Charisma +8 at level 15 and +10 at level 20? That's an epic wondrous item, that is, and extraordinarily expensive. I think you should reconsider that class ability. --Valentine the Rogue 00:00, 9 March 2009 (MDT)

Yes part of this was inspired by the Wheel of Time books and I did look at the Wheel of Time RPG book and it was basically the same as the bard. The point of this class was to be a bard without the magical abilities and focus more on the Cloak to give them abilites and their agility and cunning. As for the epic magical items your getting them at fairly high levels at which point you should be prestiging so there should be a reason to continue to use this class as well as the fact that a +2 bonus to charisma at this level even if it is an epic bonus isn't that powerful. --Rajue 21:40, 14 March 2009 (MDT)
