Talk:Evomancer (3.5e Class)

How do you make creature mutations. It details it for magic creatures but not regular ones. Can you do it from first level? If so what are the requirements? Hitpoints below a certian point? Subdued?

the discription pretty much is how you make the creatures, you take a base animal and add animal parts tougether and pay the xp. you can have one mutated/evolved creature per constitution modifier. if your constitution modifier goes down one of your creatures dies as you can no longer support its life. your level times 5 points can be spent on each creature. no more then your level points can be spent on any one modification. ie you are level 5 so you can spend a total of 25 points on one creature, you want to give your creature immunity to ability drain which costs 6 points. you can not as you must be level six to give your creature a 6 point ability.
the only thing i didnt detail is how long it takes to make a creature, i guess use the same amount of time it take to make a magical item, it would be based off the gold cost i think and you can get the gold cost with how much xp you spent on the creature. yes you can do it from first lvl but there are restrictions, see above. the creatures can be dead or alive, but working on alive unrestrained creatures makes the creature not very happy with you and probibly attack you, except magical creatures who would lose their magical properties if they were dead(im guessing something along the lines of a soul makes magical creatures magical).
also there is supposed to be no bab for this class at all, i know dnd supports this as there is a prestige class that gives no bab over 10 lvls. usable in any campain. no epic as of yet. LokiTheHarvester (talk) 19:57, 7 January 2013 (MST)
So they either have to get a creature thats already friendly to them or use baleful mutation? Wildfire
