Talk:Dungeon Master (3.5e Class)

PC Version

Very clever indeed...do you have a PC class also?Interesting idea though...your PCs could play PCs playing the game. --Palantini 09:38, 6 July 2008 (MDT)

Yep, it's a cool idea. In fact, I also thought of a class somewhat like this. I, however, thought that the class would be superior when compared to other classes (Full BAB, all good saves, spellcasting and so on.) I think this class shouldn't be available to players. --Thiregan 20:27, 22 July 2008 (UTC +2)

Exotic weapon proficiency

What the hell do those d4s and d6s in brackets mean? --Thiregan 20:15, 22 July 2008 (UTC +2)

Just something i made, take a look!!!Summerscythe 12:43, 29 July 2008 (MDT)

Rule Zero

This needs it. -- Jota 17:02, 19 June 2009 (MDT)

Indeed, My Group always called it DM arbitration, hence that ability, but seeing as rule zero is the more common rule, i shall change it to that.Summerscythe 19:57, 20 June 2009 (MDT)
It seems to me that this should include Reality Revision, just for the sake of completeness.

Suggestions

I made this class awhile ago, and with my new gathered experiences feel it could use some improvments, would anyone like to add some impu tinto what this class could or should have?Summerscythe 20:01, 20 June 2009 (MDT)
The Rebuild ability seems to need some work done to it. For example, if the character changes to a race with a level adjustment, how does that work? Also, if you change a feat to another, do you lose any feats that had the feat you lost as a prerequisite? I realize that this seems to more of a DM character class, but some DMs (Mine included), are willing to let people play classes like this. For World Shift, what's the range on the ability? Does it affect every one, or just the DM? Can he treat the air as land and walk on it? Can he treat the ground as water, and swim in it? Can he select certain places within the range to be affected? Can he treat multiple places within the area as different types of terrain? Does the length of time he uses the ability have to be used in full all at once? If he stops it early, can he use the remaining time later that day? --Artheas 20:20, 12 October 2009 (MDT)
Upon further thought, I think it'd make more sense to just leave this as a DM character class, but some added rules for the class features I mentioned would still be appreciated. And while I don't want to seem like a jerk with lots of comments, I've thought of a few more. Specifically, for the Rebuild ability, how do racial features work? If you change from a dwarf to a half-elf, do you lose the +2 con and gain the 2 charisma? Do you keep the dwarf knowledge on stone cutting and such? --Artheas 10:54, 13 October 2009 (MDT)

'Power - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because it can bend reality to its will. --99.148.149.21 10:09, 24 February 2011 (MST)

5/5 does not me super powerful, it means balanced. If it is too powerful, it should get a 1. --Badger 23:21, 24 February 2011 (MST)

Wording - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because I enjoyed reading it, especially the quote, and "Dungeon Masters do not worship, they are worshipped." --99.148.149.21 10:09, 24 February 2011 (MST)

Formatting - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because that's how awesome it is. --99.148.149.21 10:09, 24 February 2011 (MST)

This class is missing several parts of the preload, so there is no way it deserves a 5/5. --Badger 23:21, 24 February 2011 (MST)

Flavor - 5/5 I give this class a 5 out of 5 because It deserves it. --99.148.149.21 10:09, 24 February 2011 (MST)

This isn't nearly enough, reason wise. Why does it deserve it? Be elaborate, give specifics. --Badger 23:21, 24 February 2011 (MST)

Power - 1/5 I give this class a 1 out of 5 because this class is incredibly overpowered, has the potential to destroy campaigns. --Envoyof_aGod

Wording - 4/5 I give this class a 4 out of 5 because it had some misspellings, but for the most part was accurate. --Envoyof_aGod 22:46, 12 March 2011 (MST)

Formatting - 3/5 I give this class a 3 out of 5 because isnt fully formatted/coded, missing tables and sections that could solidify this class as something rather than nothing. --Envoyof_aGod 22:46, 12 March 2011 (MST)

Flavor - 3/5 I give this class a 3 out of 5 because class adds comedic relief, but could cause a bitter taste in other players mouths... --Envoyof_aGod 22:46, 12 March 2011 (MST)

gollark: Hmm, so the application deadline is January but your school might require stuff earlier.
gollark: There are online ones.
gollark: Open days? Yes. Except not now because COVID-19.
gollark: You could look at the UCAS website. It's the application system for basically all UK university stuff and there's some info there.
gollark: Oh. Hmm. You probably do need to know that.
