Talk:Dread Master (5e Subclass)

Not gonna lie, because of how powerful 18th level features usually are, you could just have it that all creatures you choose that you can see have disadvantage on Wisdom saves of any kind.

A 14th level trait that only gives you a cantrip?
You're right, that is way too underpowered. Also, please sign your comments with the signature button at the top of the edit text box. --AngelsAndAarakocra (talk) 11:13, 11 September 2017 (MDT)

Hey there everyone. Its been a while since I've had a look at this page and seeing that it needed a bit more fluff and explanation i've added some minor fluff to it and hope to explain the under-powered nature of Instil Pain here. While most cantrips would be underpowered the main feature of Instil Pain is the fact that it does damage as a bonus action. This is rather unique from a cantrips point of view and very powerful as it allows you to consistently do damage while still casting spells, which is why it is only unlocked later in level progression and requires status effects to be in place already to work. Anyway please tell me what you think needs to be fixed, as i did write this up when i was only just getting started in D&D. Vycanon (talk) 15:40, 1 February 2019 (GMT+8)
