Talk:Dragon Cavalier (5e Class)

Thoughts on this Class + Race Combo

Looking at this page, the idea of a dragon cavalier/rider is intriguing, however I believe the page is going about creating a dragon cavalier in the wrong way. Currently, this page has a race component that does not seem to fit well with the idea of a dragon cavalier because the idea of a creature being raised with a dragon since birth and that makes that creature's race dragon cavalier is confusing. Based on the lore and idea of raising a dragon from when you are young, it would seem like the concept would fit much better as a background that a pc can take with a smaller than normal 5/10 level class component attached to it. In summary, I believe my suggestion would make more sense as being a dragon cavalier would be dependent on your history/background and not dependent on your race.--Blobby383b (talk) 16:21, 9 May 2020 (MDT)

There is also the other possibility of just making this a class with no race/background attached to it, but while that may make more sense to just have the class on the page, I believe you would lose a lot of the flavor behind the class.--Blobby383b (talk) 21:49, 9 May 2020 (MDT)
gollark: Listening for events yields like `sleep` does, so it'll work fine.
gollark: You can... listen to key events.
gollark: Please don't. Generally you do not actually *need* to check something every tick, CC has events for a reason.
gollark: But if it's running a specific hardcoded program off the disk, it would be more user-friendly to just... add that fallback program in place of the "recovery disk" code, maybe with a prompt.
gollark: I don't really understand the point of loading a program from the disk, when it's only going to run a specific hardcoded program, honestl.y
