Talk:Dead Iron (3.5e Equipment)

It makes little sense to me that any counter-magic items could harm a wizard more than normal people just because they memorize spells. It makes since for sorcerers and "blood magic" using creatures since the wound would burn the magic in their blood and thus their blood. I believe that wizards should only be affected if they cast a spell. For example a wizard with 2 arrow wounds and a sword slash from this would take regular damage from weapons but when they cast a spell they would take 3d6 damage and have to make a concentration check. Also It would be interesting to have the weapons automatically cut through arcane defenses. I don't like editing anyone else's post so I'll let you choose what you want to use. --Owen

Another thing, why not an iron capped quarterstaff? That part of the rules never made sense. --Owen
