Talk:Creator Soul (5e Class)

Words, Words

Hey, it's me, the person who made and is working on this class. As is, the class is completely playable, if lacking in variety. Further work most likely won't affect balance in any meaningful way, and as such I will be removing the WIP tag. However, I will still be continuing to work on it. Here's what's planned!

  • A lot more traits. A lot. Variety is the name of the game for this class.
  • More templates, most likely tools and maaaybe structures. Being only able to make armor/creatures/weapons is a bit lame, so some non-combat utility would be nice
  • Subclasses centered around the templates listed above. There's ones for equipment and creatures, so it makes enough sense.

But that's just about it. If you wish to add to the page, please do so, I need all the ideas I can possibly get. If something doesn't make sense, or the balance seems weird, or you have some other question, ask em here. Thanks for reading! --SwankyPants (talk) 12:48, 11 January 2021 (MST)

On second thought, this thing may be relatively done. There’s now ~59 traits if I counted right, and both subclasses are playable(if lacking a few options). I’m deciding against making new templates for now, since I just have no ideas for what to do with em. If someone wants it, you’ll have to add it yourself. Just needs playtesting and all that now.--SwankyPants (talk) 11:16, 26 February 2021 (MST)

gollark: So sort of like the existing raffle requirements when they're actually interesting but bigger numbers, not locked to each month, and you get a guaranteed prize?
gollark: Since the main limit is the 5 hours you need to keep eggs before abandoning them.
gollark: The egg gathering thing is also more bot-resistant than regular hunting.
gollark: I liked the idea of one user-selected prize per trophy.
gollark: I, a mediocre JS programmer, probably could make an automatic egg getting bot with a few hours of work.
