Talk:Atlantean (5e Race)

So by virtue of being an Atlantean, I can use a greatsword underwater with no penalty? It isn't specified where you suffer no disadvantage. Can I see through a patch of lightly obscuring seaweed without disadvantage on my Perception check (as per the PHB, pg. 183)? SirSprinkles (talk) 22:25, 15 August 2016 (MDT)

By having all the traits focused on one type of terrain, this race becomes dull in a typical adventure unless the DM shoehorns in lots of water-based encounters. Please compare with the wood elf. Mask of the Wild helps while they are in woods, but is also versatile in other situations, and the other traits aren't even wood-based. Marasmusine (talk) 16:17, 26 August 2016 (MDT)

I tried to reduce the literal dependency on one type of terrain, but apparently ConcealedLight believes that nerf is warranted.
Not that my opinion matters. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ - Guy (talk) 05:47, 8 August 2018 (MDT)

Allow me to rephrase. "I endeavored to reduce the focus on one type of terrain, but it seems others believe this nerf is warranted." - Guy 12:50, 8 August 2018 (MDT)
Thank you. ConcealedLight (talk) 21:02, 8 August 2018 (MDT)
I see that page, but I fail to see the relevance. Guy did not violate the behavioral policy. I think the only reasonable interpretation here is that you're trying to warn him for a nonexistent slight against you without explanation. If so, please don't do that :) --GamerAim (talk) 14:17, 8 August 2018 (MDT)

Atlantean vs. Human

I have a (stupid) question. What is the difference between Atlanteans and (a possible subrace of) Humans? --63.142.80.85 16:53, 31 July 2019 (MDT)

gollark: Yours is not if it only has fïnïte ärräys and therefore uncool.
gollark: Computers aren't Turing-complete. Many *languages* are, since outside of implementation they don't define size/memory limits on stuff.
gollark: ++delete operators
gollark: Delete operators. Install functions.
gollark: Just redefine 2 to mean 1 with the power of ***CTYPES***.
