Talk:Americana (3.5e Campaign Setting)

Hi, OP here.

Hey! You must be the helpful guy from /tg/, eh? I'm the OP. I've never encountered this wiki before, but it looks like exactly the sort of thing we could use for this setting. I'm going to get to work on filling in the details of Americana tonight. We've got a lot of ideas on /tg/ so far, plus a lot from an lj community I also posted this in, plus all the things I've thought of since we've all been brainstorming.

Incidentally, you can post entire settings here? Do people use this place a lot? I've got a setting I've been working on for six years that's been playtested extensively. Think I should put it up?

Oh, right, also, hi. Name's John.

Hey, John, it's Amazing from /tg/. Yeah, this place gets a good chunk 'o traffic, and you can post entire settings here. There's a whole section for 'em as you can see. If the setting you're discussing has been as extensively worked out as you say then it shouldn't be a problem- there's a lot of stuff on here that's probably never been tested and is a lot less elaborate.

You need to ship me your E-mail address if you want to get in close touch. My own address is on my Userpage- send yours to that one. --The Archivist 13:19, 29 August 2008 (MDT)

Amazing Work

Cruising the site and saw this in Recent Changes. This is an intriguing project; I look forward to more on this campaign setting. Hope to see a quest or adventure attached with this world one day. Best of luck. --Gedren56

That. That is exactly the type of writery that we need for Americana fluff.

Rating

I really love the idea of this setting. Very American Gods-esque. Looking forward to seeing the rest as you get time.   Hooper   talk    contribs    email   08:34, 18 December 2008 (MST)

Adding Content

NPC wise I was wondering if you wanted any help. I could comb thru American characters throughout our small history (i.e. Paul Bunyan, Wild Bill, Stagger Lee, etc. etc.) and start making the base pages if that'd help. If that's something you want.   Hooper   talk    contribs    email   11:17, 22 December 2008 (MST) I did get your message forever ago - will do this as soon as I find some time.   Hooper   talk    contribs    email   12:14, 29 August 2009 (MDT)

Would it be okay to make some stuff up and add it? Specifically the Midwest, New England and such?
I'd be very grateful for it! If at all possible, though, I'd prefer to go over things with any editors in person rather than playing Edit Tag--drop me a line via E-mail, because I'm always willing to talk! --The Archivist 14:58, 29 September 2009 (MDT)

Fantastic Work!

This setting is fantastic! I've been looking to make a Bioshock style campaign, and this definitely will help me out. I'll try and contribute what I can. --Yossarian (talk) 21:16, 15 August 2013 (MDT)

Anon

Added a passing reference to "Biomancy" in the great plains section, as well as some elaboration on the tribes of the great plains. There are some references to genetic engineering, because what is the midwest without its GM foods?

Yo, It's Real

I've updated the "The Facts" page, and it was actually me who did so. It's true--I'm still not going to turn down help but I'd like to vet things from now on to make sure they fit. --The Archivist (talk) 14:21, 22 October 2014 (MDT)

gollark: <@738361430763372703> The 802.11ac -2013 update, or 802.11ac Wave 2, is an addendum to the original 802.11ac wireless specification that utilizes MU-MIMO technology and other advancements to help increase theoretical maximum wireless speeds from 3.47 Gbps in the original spec to 6.93 Gbps in 802.11ac Wave 2.
