Talk:Alchemist of Transmutation (5e Class)

Wording

What's meant by 'You can restore magic to an item and only repair it form' in the 'infuse magic' circle? Can't seem to understand this one. Coaldstone (talk) 00:04, 1 March 2020 (MST)

Balance Concerns

  • 'Transmutation Modification' uses 'free action.' Which isn't really a thing in 5e.
  • 'Infuse Magic' seems overpowered. As I understand it, the effect is permanently added to weapon, and not consumed.
  • The Puppet Master subclass seems to heavily reliant on DM information. It provides no base cost, materials, base features, hp etc. for the constructs. Additionally, the subclass seems to scale very quickly in terms of number of entities under your control. Two of these in a single campaign could essentially halt combat. gollark: General COVID-19 breakage and a shortage of drivers because brexit.
gollark: Oh, and unrelatedly, apparently UK food supply chains are very close to failure (it is already bad enough that there are significant gaps on shelves). Fun!
gollark: Why? We could replace the important ones.
gollark: I would feel happier if we just removed all microorganisms ever.
gollark: Like the backward eye arrangement in humans, and that misrouted nerve.
