Talk:Aggrand (5e Race)

Don't you think it would be simpler to say "You can enlarge yourself as though under the effect of the enlarge/reduce spell, rather than duplicating the text of the spell?

Please also see FAQ (DnD Guideline)#What are "Narrative Durations"?. Having the duration last between 1 and 10 minutes doesn't serve much purpose. Marasmusine (talk) 03:14, 22 September 2017 (MDT)

I duplicated the text of the spell because I wanted to make it clear that it's a nonmagical effect, and I felt simply linking to the spell would have cause ambiguity. The duration lasts for the time it does because I wanted to reflect that it's like a muscle you train, although I suppose it does break precedent. --Trouble (talk) 10:25, 22 September 2017 (MDT)

Fetish Art

Isn't the art for this race kinda fetishistic? NSFW media isn't allowed on D&D wiki, even if you put an Adult template on the page it's on. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Varkarrus (talk • contribs) . Please sign your posts.

Here's the conversation we had in the tavern on this subject a week ago. I've left out parts of an unrelated conversation; the full conversation can be found somewhere down this page (I think).

does that mean Aggrands should be removed? They always struck me as blatant deviantart fetish bait.
09:26, October 18, 2017 Geodude671 (Talk | contribs): admins apparently didn't have a problem with it
09:26, October 18, 2017 Varkarrus (Talk | contribs): (maybe they'd be fine with a rework and new picture...?)
09:30, October 18, 2017 Geodude671 (Talk | contribs): I think it was left alone because it's in a sort of gray area
09:30, October 18, 2017 Geodude671 (Talk | contribs): maybe
09:30, October 18, 2017 Geodude671 (Talk | contribs): idk
09:33, October 18, 2017 GamerAim (Talk | contribs): What is Aggrands? The large people?
09:34, October 18, 2017 GamerAim (Talk | contribs): I thought the picture was kinda iffy, but overall the race was neat.
09:34, October 18, 2017 GamerAim (Talk | contribs): My sympathies, Vark.
09:35, October 18, 2017 Geodude671 (Talk | contribs): I don't have a problem with it but I can see how others would have a problem with it
09:35, October 18, 2017 GamerAim (Talk | contribs): The bodies do not look anatomically correct, but then, they're not human.
09:36, October 18, 2017 GamerAim (Talk | contribs): Otherwise, the image looks to me no more sexual than the PHB images of the races.
09:36, October 18, 2017 Varkarrus (Talk | contribs): I think they'd benefit from a less human design
09:37, October 18, 2017 Varkarrus (Talk | contribs): there's also the huge tiddays on the girl aggrand
09:38, October 18, 2017 GamerAim (Talk | contribs): I was going to mention that Vark, but neither of them is actually realistically-proportioned.
09:38, October 18, 2017 Geodude671 (Talk | contribs): Varkarrus: I don't consider it to be any worse than the female druid in the 5e phb
09:39, October 18, 2017 GamerAim (Talk | contribs): #throwbackthursday to the elf wizard in the 3e PHB
TL;DR: picture is kind of iffy but isn't really any worse than some of the illustrations in first-party material. — Geodude671 (talk | contribs | email)‎ . . 12:11, 28 October 2017 (MDT)
Firstly, Geodude, Tavern discussions aren't actually official rulings. Secondly, Vark, you never (and still haven't) provided anything to support your claim that the image is more fetishistic than any other image on this site. If you would like to elaborate on your claim, we could look further into it.--GamerAim (talk) 20:36, 28 October 2017 (MDT)
I reverse-google searched the art to grab a source and hey, wouldn't you know it, it's by a fetish artist. Seems to be the same person who created the page, too. Varkarrus (talk) 18:14, 3 February 2019 (MST)
Thanks for finding that; I added the source to the page. Geodude (talk | contribs | email)‎‎ . . 09:56, 5 February 2019 (MST)
Can you at least add a "Source NSFW" warning to the link? Varkarrus (talk) 10:59, 5 February 2019 (MST)
gollark: No you don't.
gollark: Idea: optimized matrix fibonaccization using AVX.
gollark: OH WAIT, I CAN, I didn't not unexpect this.
gollark: I can't say I didn't not unexpect this.
gollark: Is Macron just SUBLEQ now?
