Tail Training (4e Feat)
Tail Training [Racial]
Ordinary gritaurs can hold things with their dexterous tails, but no more than that. You have trained yourself to the point where you can not only hold a slippery object like a sword, but even wield it effectively in combat.
Prerequisite: Gritaur, Dex 13
Benefit: You can use your tail like a third hand. Unless you have the Two-Blade Ranger two weapon ability you are still limited to normal off-hand weapons. There are no benefits to wielding three melee weapons, but it allows you to, for example, use two one-handed weapons and a shield, a two-handed weapon along with a one-handed weapon, or to have a melee weapon ready while firing a ranged weapon.
If you do not have a weapon your tail still counts as an off-hand weapon but only makes a basic unarmed attack (1D4 base damage).
You can also use your tail for other types of manipulation. But due to the lack of fingers it suffers a -2 penalty to all rolls in this case.Normal: A gritaur without Tail Training can only use its tail for simple tasks like holding a bag or, at best, open a door. Basically nothing that requires a roll.

gollark: The tax should probably go up over time on each patent.
gollark: Maybe make it so you get taxed some % of a patent's value each year. You might say "hmm but how do we calculate value". Simple! Make it so that you *specify* the value, and anyone who is willing to pay that much can buy it off you/pay for it to enter the public domain for that much.
gollark: > wouldnt that deter using patents?that is the point.
gollark: Or you could just have a tax of some kind on patents.
gollark: No, I mean use them to... produce useful things?
