Fighter Subclass

A swordmaster pledges themself to the way of the blade, swearing to uphold the honour of combat with the most noble of weapons. Though some take these teachings for personal gain, slicing away all their enemies, the ideal swordmaster is one so skilled and at peace that they strive to avoid fighting altogether and that which they do is finished in as few strikes as possible.
Path of the Blade

When you choose this subclass at 3rd level you dedicate yourself to the use of the sword. While wielding a sword one handed and without a shield your weapon attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20, in addition if you are wearing light armour or no armour your AC increases by 2 and your movement speed increases by 5ft.

Single Kill Strike

Starting at 7th level whenever you perform a critical hit with a weapon attack made using a sword you can add an additional 1d6 slashing damage to the damage rolled

Ambushing Strike

Starting at 10th level when an enemy within 5ft attacks you while you have a sword equipped, you can use your reaction and perform a single attack against it before the enemy’s attack.

Perfect Form

Starting at 15th level while wielding a sword single handed without a shield your weapon attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 18-20 and your AC increases by +2 on top of the gain from path of the blade. In addition all attacks made with swords do +1 damage.

Star Sword

Starting at 18th level when you make an attack you can use your bonus action and instead perform 5 attacks on that target instead however damage dealt as a result of these 5 attacks is halved unless it is a critical hit. You can only use this ability once per short or long rest.
