Spiked Chain Master

Prerequisites: Dexterity 13 or higher
You have mastered the fearsome spiked chain techniques of the Shadar-Kai Shadow Dancers and improved on your skills. With a bonus action You may choose to take the following forms:

  • Offensive form: When you hit a creature with the spiked chain,you do a additional 1d4 piercing damage
  • Defensive form: You gain 1 AC to your total armor.

Additionally, when you hit a creature with the spiked chain, you may use your bonus action to force the target to make a Dexterity saving throw (DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Dexterity Modifier) or suffer one additional effect of your choice:

  • The target is restrained(escape DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Dexterity Modifier) if it is a Medium or smaller creature. Until the grapple ends, the target is restrained, and you can’t grapple another target.
  • The target is knocked prone takes 1d10 fall damage.
  • The target takes 1d8 piercing damage. This damage increases by 1d8 when you reach 5th level (2d8), 11th level (3d8), and 17th level (4d8).
