Spider (4e Creature)

Contrary to common belief, not all spiders are harmless. Some spiders have enough venom to harm a humanoid, and such spiders are a very real threat to the careless.

Lore

DC 10 (Arachana), DC 15 (Religion): Spiders are sacred to the evil goddess Lolth. Long ago, before she became the Demon Queen of Spiders, Lolth was a deity of fate who wove the strands of mortal destiny; it’s said she created the art of weaving after watching spiders make their webs.

DC 15 (Arachana), DC 20 (Religion): Since spiders are Lolth’s holy creatures, the drow revere spiders. Drow refuse to crush or sweep away common spiders, believing that even the tiniest of such creatures might be serving Lolth’s purposes. Drow priests frequently tame or befriend monstrous spiders by magic.

DC 20 (Arachana), DC 25 (Religion): Spiders hail from the arachania, a vast web of power which is the innate power of all spiderkind.

gollark: Why are you worried about containers working in production, exactly?
gollark: I do mostly tend to release code for my stuff, except it's basically entirely useless.
gollark: I mean, you could edit the license a bit, or just stick in a polite request to tell you about what projects are made with it.
gollark: ... is that actually a problem?
gollark: What limitations? It doesn't really obligate you as the author to do anything.

Spiders in Combat

Spiders rarely bother creatures larger than themselves, but when they do, they use their small size to get close enough to a foe to bite them.
