Spear Tipped Chain Whip does not provoke attacks of opportunity.

If the bearer of the whip is currently using the weapon to restrain an opponent, the restrained enemy is prone to attacks of opportunity, but so is the restrainer!

Bearer must roll a successful to hit roll with a (+2 bonus) to maintain the restraint.

Restraining does no more than 1hp of automatic non-lethal damage per round unless a critical is rolled.

When using a Spear Tipped Chain Whip, you get a +2 bonus on opposed attack rolls made to disarm an opponent (including the roll to keep from being disarmed if the attack fails).

The possessor of a Spear Tipped Chain Whip must openly state it's intended function every round or it will act as a melee weapon as default. When the weapon is acting in it's restraining function, it's damage is 1/2 of the roll to a minimum of 1.

With a successful attack, the whip’s wielder can restrain opponents up to 10 feet away. Adjacent foes can be restrained. A restrained creature is entangled and can only move by an opposed strength check +2. If the entangled creature attempts to cast a spell, it must succeed a DC 16 Concentration check or the spell fails. A DC 25 Escape Artist check can be made to slip free.
