Class Features

All of the following are features of the Soul of Shadow prestige class.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Souls of Shadow gain no proficiency with any weapon or armor.

Mysteries per Day: At each level, you gain new mystery uses and an increase in caster level (and mysteries known, if applicable) as if you had also attained a level in a casting class to which you belonged before adding the prestige class level. You do not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained, such as bonus feats for mystery paths known.

Shadow Fabrications: You learn to control shadow magic like no other, and can reshape your mysteries to mimic the spells of traditional casters. Pick five spells of 6th level or lower from the Wiz/Sor or cleric spell lists. By trading two uses of mysteries of the same level, you can recreate any spell from your chosen spells of an equal spell level or lower. You gain four spells of 7th level or lower at level 4, three 8th level spells or lower at level 7 and two 9th level spells or lower at level 10.

Shadow Corruption: The strength of your shadow magic starts to change you, and you become less of yourself. At 2nd level, you gain the extraplanar subtype, and are native to the plane of Shadow. At 6th level, you gain light sensitivity and become dazzled in bright sunlight or within the radius of a daylight spell. At 10th level, you take a -2 penalty of concentration checks in areas of bright sunlight or within the radius of a daylight spell. Additionally, your alignment changes by 1 step(usually non-good or non-lawful).

Secret Mystery: At level 3, 6 and 9, you can add a power from the psion's list to your mysteries. Add it to your shadow fabrication list as a spell or mystery of equal level.
