Slimeborg

A cyborg/robot that had it's body consumed by a slime without being dissolved. The robotic parts have taken over the slime creature and they have become a single entity.

Slimeborg

Physical Description

Appearance. A robotic skeleton made of metal or durable plastics, usually weak and frail with loose wires as its innards'. Inside it's robotic skull is usually the brain of a sentient creature that had once been alive. Wrapped around it's frame work is a gelatinous slime, varying in colors. Most common in green, they can be blue, yellow, red (ext). Slimeborg's do not hole any emotions, only the memories of the brain they hold in their body. They have no soul, and are more like a zombie then anything, however if the brain is fresh enough, they can still function and act like the creature they had once been before.

Reproduction Though both Slimes and Warforged are genderless, they can take up the personality of either male or female genders based off the brain within. They can hold a mental attraction with someone they had once loved in life, or develop an attraction based off the memories of the brain held within and the personality that accompanies it. Non have gone on record to showing any reproduction between any other creatures, however it is possible for the Slimeborg to reproduce Asexually.

The two ways Slimes can reproduce.

1:// By taking the brain of some other creature, be it sentient or not, it can be placing inside a mech body and introduced it to a slime to take over and become symbiotic.

2:// The original Slimeborg can break off a separate part of it's body, usually a limb, and connecting it with another construct, the slime that had infused itself in the body will take over the construct and grow as it consumes part of it. If the slime has developed cognizance, it can be Sentient. If not, the new Slimeborg will simply be a mob to be slain in the future, living only to protect the mother Slimeborg.

History

The history of each Slimeborg is different, but can be connected in a common creation. The first ever Slimeborg was the Warforged creation of an Artificer, who had attempted to use the robotic body to bring back his dead daughter. The robot was incomplete, but had the brain of his daughter inserted into the skull, giving it life.

One day, the Artificer had gone into a dungeon looking for materials when he was attacked by a slime. Unfortunately, he was killed and the robot skeleton of his creation went down to look for him. She too, was consumed by the slime, but not killed. Using electrical surges in her mech body, she was able to subdue and control the slime, giving her a more sturdy body. Though she had no soul, her memories told her that she had once loved the Artificer and wished to destroy all the slimes in the world for killing her father.

Society

Most Slimeborg's tend to stick around Artificers, or those who can tinker with mechanical instruments like themselves. If a Slimeborg comes in contact with another Slimeborg, two things can happen.

1:// They can fuse together, their minds, goals, and bodies combining to make them physically and mentally stronger. Together they have a better chance of getting their revenge and completing their last wishes.

2:// They will team up, bonding and eventually getting over their quarrels of their past lives and simply wander around together until something disturbs them.

Relations

Most of the relationships a Slimeborg has is from it's past life, before it's brain was placed into a construct. However, they can make new connections to help it's overall survival.

However, most sentient races see Slimes as nothing more then a monster to kill, even if the mech inside it is sentient. Those who tend to convers with Slimeborg's, are often Necromancer's, Artificer's, Monster tamers, or even Lich's.

Languages

Slimeborg's tend to retain the languages of their life, being that of whatever race or creature they had once been. However, when fusing it's form with a slime, it can start to understand the language of Sentient slimes and other monsters that are close to their relation.

  • Slimenies.

Slimeborg Names

Most often then not, they will retain the name of the creature they had once been. However, some choose to give themselves a more fitting name.

Slimeborg Traits

  • Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity and Constitution increase by 1.
  • Age. Slimeborg's are a relatively new species and their life span is undetermined. However, if the internal mech is taken well care of, the creature could, in theory, live for thousands of years.
  • Alignment. Most are a bit vengeful or longing, "Unfinished Business" still stuck in their minds. Usually this makes them Chaotic Neutral, as they have no souls to sway them.
  • Size. These creatures can very depending on the original size of their mech form. Most range between 4 to 6 feet on average. Your size is Medium.
  • Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
  • Dark Vision 60 ft. Unlike true slimes, a Slimeborg can see rather far, thanks to it's mech eyes.
  • Acid Body. As it's outer shell is made up of a slime, it can use it's body to melt objects of it's desire, though has to be careful not to melt itself if it gets to zealous with it's natural ability.
  • Disconnect This ability allows the Slimeborg to become mostly slime, allowing it to turn Amorphous and glide into tight places. This leaves the skeleton of the Slimeborg vulnerable, as it's skull or brain cavity, has to stay connected to the slime part, while it detaches from the rest of it's hard skeleton.
  • Resistant Body Due to their already acidic nature, they are immune to all but the most potent acids and corrosive agent granting them +10 resistance to anything that deals acid damage.
  • Bottomless Stomach As a slime, it can eat as much as it likes and not be effected by over eating. This will also allow the mech body to gain more power and the slime form to grow in mass. This is usually used to help in it's reproduction, or right before or during a dangerous battle.
  • Adhesive The Slime part of a Slimeborg can break off a chunk of it's body and solidify it into a glue or cement to help in adhering constructs together. This can also be done as an attack, shooting a ball of it's goo form and causing an enemy to be stuck in place. It's form can become as hard as stone and needs a Strength check to break free.
