Half-Shark

Physical Description

Half-sharks are creatures that are often quoted to be "terrible" to look at. With the head of a shark and the body of a man (some half-sharks even have a dorsal fin on their back), this is not an inaccurate description. However, these traits are not the only ones that half-sharks have, they are only the most obvious. There are more subtle differences between a half-shark and a human. Some differences include the webbed hands and feet, along with ridged and rough skin. Colors such as light to dark blue, grey, brown or tan are often seen on a half-shark. Rarer colors that often come with worship or another form of reverence from other half-sharks include the pure white and pitch black half-sharks. They are considered harbingers of good or bad times. However, no matter what fate they bring, all half-shark harbingers are the most respected in the colony.

History

Society

Half Shark can be found in pairs, trios, or quadruplets. Half Shark society is rare and those that do exist are small water side villages that consist of no more than twenty Half Shark. Half Shark can be found in either ocean salt water, or in coastal fresh water. There are rare instances where a Half Shark can breath in both salt water and fresh water. Being hunters of the deep, Half Shark are fishermen by trade. Because they are predators however, unusual wares made from humanoid parts can be found in their villages. This unusual collection of shop wares can be found because Half Shark are also known to attack those who seek to exploit their waterways or overstay their welcome after being told to leave.
