Personality

There are very few Shadowtouched in the world, and they radiate a sense of fear everywhere they go. This causes them to be extremely independent without the need to eat, sleep, or drink most keep traveling all of their immortal life. Those that become heroes will spend little time in towns, only passing through for equipment and information. Shadowtouched also tend to be insensitive due to their lack of social interaction, they will almost always resort to terror as a method of negotiation, because very few people are willing to converse with them openly.

Physical Description

Shadowtouched range from 6 to 7 feet tall, and from 150 to 200 pounds. There is no variance between genders. Shadowtouched have no hair anywhere on their bodies, and their skin is a pasty white. They have no nose or ear structure, only orifices. Any mucus membranes are inky black, and black veins are visible on their faces, forearms, backs, and feet. Their eyes are always solid black. Shadowtouched do have genders, but they all appear fairly similar. Women only being slightly more pronounced in the chest and hip region.

Relations

No matter their intention, Shadowtouched are almost always met with terror by other races. They have a monstrous appearance, and intimidating stature, but if they are allowed a chance to speak they can appear more benign. However they are gifted in the ways of fear, so they will more often intimidate than use diplomatics.

Alignment

Shadowtouched are ALWAYS chaotic. They do not wish any part in large structured societies, no matter the goal. However Shadowtouched are equally capable of villainy as they are of heroism, and such they can be good, neutral, or evil.

Lands

The Shadowtouched, being far and few, have no official lands. Though they do feel most at home in dark, isolated places. This can mean a personal mansion days away from any settlement, a dark untamed forest, or a series of caves.

Religion

The Shadowtouched are of no predetermined religion, but they do have a connection to the Shadow Plane, and such are drawn to any Deity which shares that bond.

Language

Automatic: Common, Abyssal. Additional: Any except Sylvan and Celestial.

Names

Shadowtouched will have an abyssal name, as well as a name in another language more commonly spoken. Their Common name can be anything they so desire, but their abyssal name will be something along the lines of the following examples: Timor, Senyth, Xaress, Crath, Skris, etc.

Racial Traits

  • +2 Dex, Shadowtouched are long and limber, +2 Con, +2 Cha, they are gifted in causing terror with speech
  • Humanoid (Chaotic)
  • Medium, no special bonuses or penalties.
  • Shdowtouched base land speed is 55 feet: flight speed is 90 feet
  • (Ex) Shadowtongue: The Shadowtouched gain a +2 on intimidate checks, but a -2 to diplomacy and gather information.
  • (Ex) Looming Dark: When in an dimly lit area surrounded by darkness, Shadowtouched appear a few feet taller, and gain concealment
  • Automatic Languages: Common, Abyssal. Bonus Languages: Any Except Sylvan and Celestial
  • Favored Class: Wizard (Illusionist or Necromancer).
