Shadow Lord
Prerequisites: ability to cast a necromancy spell
Your body has been under the care of the very shadows, imbued with the power to control dark energies. Perhaps it has been because you have attracted the attention of unimaginable creatures that seek to benefit from your potential, or perhaps, the abstract concept of darkness itself has embedded itself in your body. You gain the following benefits:
- You gain darkvision with a range of 30 feet. If you already have a form of darkvision, it instead increases by 30 feet. Your darkvision can also see through magical darkness.
- When you attack with a spell or a normal attack that deals necrotic damage, you add an additional die to the damage roll. You may use this effect twice and you regain all uses of this feature after you finish a long rest.
You may forgo 1 of these 2 features for the alternative benefit of:
- Increase your Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma score by 1, up to a maximum of 20.

gollark: "Bad" inasmuch as you were seemingly saying that "balanced" outcomes were always the "good" ones earlier.
gollark: I don't see why you would want more disease unless:- you value human suffering or some adjacent thing- you think it would reduce total disease over time, which is irrelevant if you just entirely wipe it out with technology™- you value "balance" or something as a goal in itself, which seems bad
gollark: Also vaguely patronising I think, but hard to tell.
gollark: Insisting that people you interact with already know the answer to your questions subconsciously is not actually very helpful.
