Sewage Sorcerer (3.5e Creature)

You turn a corner in the filthy sewer and almost bump into a hunchbacked man peering into a wide pipe with equally wide eyes, babbling incoherently. At first you dismiss him as some poor lunatic who's taken refuge in the sewers and talks to whatever hallucination he's currently seeing in the pipe. It's only when a mass of black, oil-slick tentacles burst from the pipe and start crawling towards you that you begin to suspect he's something more.

A sewage sorcerer is a freak of nature who's found his place in the city, under the city. He uses illusions to hunt for dire rats and other food, and quenches his thirst with the foul sewage; it needn't be repeated that he's thoroughly insane. Sewage sorcerers are often disfigured and have lunatical habits: talking to themselves, drooling excessively and the like.

Combat

Sewage sorcerers are not combatants. They don't so much fight as try to intimidate and terrify, surprise and confuse. The only way a sewage sorcerer could prove to be a threat is if they're faced with other creatures, which is unlikely. They should be played as a roleplaying encounter, not a combat encounter, and awarded experience for accordingly..
