Scope Adept (5e Feat)

Scope Adept

Prerequisites: The ability to cast at least one spell
You have learned a variety of highly experimental spellcasting techniques which enlarge the scope of your spells. You gain the following benefits:

  • When you cast a spell which requires a ranged attack roll, you can enlarge the scope of the spell, altering it to explode and affect a small burst. When you do so, you can choose to attack a point within range instead of a creature or object. If you do directly hit a creature, however, it takes full (i.e. normal) damage from the spell and is not allowed a Dexterity saving throw. Each creature within 5 feet of the target must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking half of the spell's damage on a failed save, or no damage on a successful one.
  • You learn one cantrip that requires a ranged attack roll. Choose one cantrip from the bard, cleric, druid, sorcerer, or wizard spell list. Your spellcasting ability for this cantrip depends on the spell list you chose from: Charisma for bard, sorcerer, or warlock; Wisdom for cleric or druid; or Intelligence for wizard.

gollark: I think it's just expressions to integrate, not mathematical proofs or whatever with language in them.
gollark: My friend just sent me this. It sounds interesting. Thoughts? https://arxiv.org/abs/2110.03501
gollark: Surely you could shorten `plt`, remove some spaces, and swap out the `itertools` line (as it only appears to be using accumulate once).
