School of Minor Magic (5e Subclass)

School of Minor Magic

While others might attempt to master the strongest of spells you have instead gone down the humble path of achieving mastery over the simplest of spells

Cantrip Savant

At level 2, You learn the wizard cantrip Presdigitation, if you already know this spell then you may choose another cantrip from the wizard spell list, and one other wizard cantrip of your choice. Neither of these count against the total number of level 0 spells known. At level 11 you gain another cantrip from the wizards spell list that functions in the same manner.

Improved Presdigitation

At level 2, You have, through the extreme practice, improved the efficency of Presdigitation and having learned to cast the spell onto living creatures. When you choose to warm or chill a living creature with this spell you can cause the creature to make a constitution saving throw. On a failed save it will take 1d4 fire or cold damage depending on the effect used and half damage on a successful save.  This spell’s damage increases by 1d4 when you reach 5th level (2d4), 11th level (3d4) and 17th level (4d4).

Effective Cantrip

At level 6, Your repeated and repeated practice has improved the efficiency of an already efficient cantrip. Anytime a creature fails the saving throw cast by Presdigitation. Roll a 1d20. On a natural 20 you gain a first level spell slot if atleast one has already been spent.

Speed Casting

At 10th level you become faster and faster at casting your spell of choice. Presdigitation can now be cast as either a bonus action or as an action.

Major Cantrip

At 14th level, Casting cantrips is as easy as breathing. You can expend spell slots to increase their power. For every 1st level slot you spend when casting a cantrip, You increase the damage of the spell by one dice or increase the spell radius by 1 cubic foot for every spell slot used.

gollark: Anyway, in modern times, potatOS updates are done by potatOS devices themselves connecting to either pastebin (deprecated) or osmarks.tk's copy of potatOS.
gollark: It's called multiple personality disorder.
gollark: It does remote debugging for potatOS and not really updates any more.
