When "Clerics Level" is referred to on Table: Turning Undead, does it refer to the total levels that the cleric possess, or only the levels of cleric (as per a multiclassed character?) --Othtim 16:54, 15 February 2008 (MST)

Technically, it refers to neither. It refers to the character's total turning level. A cleric's turning level is equal to his class level. A paladin's turning level is her class level minus 3 once she reaches 4th level, and doesn't have a turning before 4th level. Turning levels from multiple classes stack (see multiclass characers and class features). So a cleric 5/paladin 5 has a turning level of 7. Likewise a rebuking cleric 4/dread necromancer 4/blackguard 3 has a rebuking level of 9 (a blackguard's rebuking level is his class level minus 2). —Sledged (talk) 08:39, 16 February 2008 (MST)

On page 33 of the 3.5 PHB the +2 for having 5 or more ranks in Knowledge (Religion) is missing. "A cleric may attempt to turn undead a number of times per day equal to 3 + his Charisma modifier. A cleric with 5 or more ranks in Knowledge (religion) gets a +2 bonus on turning checks against undead."
