Potion weight and chugging
A comic (Goblins) got me thinking of a relevant topic - how much do potions weigh, and how fast can you drink them? I mean, if you filled, say a quart/liter jug/wineskin of cure serious wounds potion - if the internet is right, it would take at least 3 rounds to chug it. Not that you will often need to heal 200+ HP that fast, but it could happen, and mid level adventurers might want to spend a full-round action (6 seconds) chugging an 8 ounce bottle of cure light wounds, healing 8d8+8 for 400 gold in the equivalent of a standard action + a move action, rather than quaff a few vials of cure serious wounds in 3 standard actions, for ~5 times the price. Is it assumed you have to carry potions in individual vials, corked? Could a large or bigger creature just kind of crunch a bag of them in their mouth, take some damage from glass shards but heal a lot anyway? Can you uncork potions as a standard action and wait, then down them like a shot glass as say, a move action?
Also, how heavy is a potion? Going by the weight of water, it's 1/16th of a pound, so 100 potions would weigh around 6 pounds.
