Would like to see some examples of this spell so players know all what it refers to.

This isn't the full SRD description!

This description is ambiguous, if I recall, the PHB says that for rolling, say, a magic missile, (1d4+1), you first calculate the complete damage (i.e. add the +1) then multiply by 1.5.
