SRD Talk:Disintegrate

Does this spell result in turning physical objects into dust piles of their component structure as is implied by the word disintegrate, or is any residual result sucked off into the nether? That makes sense when it comes to a creature, a person when you eliminate the water would leave behind maybe a cup of dried chemicals, or what would be for al practical purposes a trace of dust easily lost in the wind. The reference to trace of dust is not included in the description of the effect on objects, hence the question: Is the spell effective for producing metal dust? Conversely, if you used this spell to tunnel, would you create a void with a dusty floor, or would the disintegrated volume still be packed with rock dust you'd have to cart away? --Lord Eric (talk) 02:26, 18 April 2017 (UTC)
