Physical Description

Yasuo - The Unforgiven

Ionians possess haunting beauty as well as martial prowess. They often keep neutral expressions, for strong emotional outbursts in public situations are very much frowned upon. Most Ionians are taller than 6 feet, have dark hair colours, and light skin. Due to years of perfecting martial arts of various kinds, Ionians are generally well toned and flexible. Ionians weigh around 120 to 160 pounds.

The average Ionian lives to be 2 centuries of age at best. They put to use a good deal of those years into hardening skill and talent or finding spiritual enlightenment. Ionians mature around 35, grow old at 120, and expire at 200 years.

History

Ionia is an ancient land shrouded in mystery. Villages and monasteries dot across the landscape while the rest remains a vast wilderness. The inhabitants are a fair folk who devote their lives to studying mystical martial arts and wondrous magic. Despite their Oriental style of war, Ionians tend to be quite a peaceful folk, knowing to save their skill for times they need it most. Such a time has arisen lately, as Noxus attacked Ionia. Peradventure, Ionia would have easily beaten them off, but no swordplay or piousness can defeat chemical warfare, something Noxus exceeds at. For those reasons, the two nations now resort to the Institute of War to dispute their differences.
