Rune Born

Rune Born are not naturally found, only an evil arcane wielder could proceed in the ritual. The ritual requires an opening to the abyss. Through this opening the leader would reach into the abyss and pull a soul from there to embody a collection of stones. The stones then comes to life to service its creator, marked with the masters arcane symbol the new Rune Born has been forced into slavery. Usually these rituals are uninterrupted, but sometimes orders of light and good try to stop them. In some cases the master is killed right after creating the Rune Born. After the master of the Rune Born slave is killed it finds itself freed from slavery and its psychology changes. Once freed, a Rune born gains random traits from its owner, which is where most Rune Born gain their chaotic or evil alignment. Rune Born keep all memories and retain all knowledge learned during enslavement, even after it gains freedom.

Due to the Low amount of Rune born there is no city or even organization of Rune Born. Rune Born are the result of dark rituals, therefore most commoners fear them and only wish for their destruction.

Personality

Most Rune Born act just like humans. The only difference is their dwindled numbers. They are most commonly shady acting creatures.

Physical Description

A Rune Born in its natural state look like a man carved from sections of stone. Their eyes are glowing triangles that float less than a quarter of an inch from their face. They also have the arcane simbol of arcanist who crated him. Most Rune Born sta.nd average human height.

Relations

Most Rune Born go through a transition, where they take a specific plant that they have cut up and place it on their bodies. It looks identical to flesh. The only difference is that it is highly flammable. Most Rune Born take on a human life and hide in society, acting just like the race they are impersonating.

Alignment

Rune Born take on the soul and basic personality of the necromancer that summoned them from the abyss. So most Rune Born have a chaotic Alignment. The only exclusion is Lawful.

Lands

They do not have a home land.

Religion

If a Rune Born takes on a Religion they will usually take on the god of their creator.

Language

They can speak Demonic naturally.

  • +4 Intelligence +4 Wisdom +6 Constitution : Rune Born are naturally gifted with Intelligence and wisdom due to their arcane connection, but are also naturally brittle.

  • Rune Born base land speed is 30 feet:
  • Spell-Like Ability: at will — continual flame, plane shift, spike growth,dispel magic, hail of thorns,cure moderate wounds, flesh to stone, heat metal. Caster level is 20th.
  • Consume: Consume Basic stone, basic stone weighing at 1 lbs heal 1d12 (can only consume 4 time per hour) : Rune Born, like Golems, are not affected by healing spells, but have a natural healing ability.
  • Call to the Abyss: Call power from the abyss, the Rune Born gains a 1d6 for 1d4 turns, to any attribute. The Rune Born can cast this 1 time per day. :
  • Automatic Languages: Demonic.
  • Favored Class: any spell caster.
