Ring of The Rat (3.5e Equipment)

Ring of The Rat: This ring is worked with engravings of swarming rats. Its wearer gains a +5 competence bonus on Hide and Move Silently checks when in urban environments. Once per minute, its wearer can infect an opponent with filth fever by attacking with a piercing weapon. The ability must be declared before the attack and is used for that minute if the attack misses. The disease strikes immediately (no incubation period) and the infected temporarily receives 1d3 points of Dexterity damage and 1d3 points of Constitution damage. Each day after, the infected must make a DC 12 Fortitude save or incur the same temporary ability damage aforementioned. Two successful saving throws in a row means the disease was fought off, damage would no longer be incurred.
