The revolver is a one-handed firearm that holds four rifled cartridges in a cylinder.

Ammunition

The revolver uses cartridges.

Load Free

The revolver can fire four times before it needs reloading.

It takes a minor action to load two cartridges into the revolver's cylinder. The Speed Loader feat allows a character to load four cartridges as a minor action. If a power allows you to hit multiple targets, the additional load time is accounted for in the power.

Off-hand

The revolver is light enough that you can hold it and attack effectively with it while holding a weapon in your main hand. You can't attack with both weapons in the same turn, unless you have a power that lets you do so, but you can attack with either weapon.

Powder Crit

The revolver deals more damage when you score a critical hit with it, though not as much as a High Crit weapon. It deals an extra 1 damage at 1st–10th levels, an extra 2 damage at 11th–20th levels, and an extra 3 damage at 21st–30th levels. This extra damage is in addition to any critical damage the weapon supplies if it is a magic weapon.

gollark: In JS you used to have to explicitly handle callbacks for all that stuff, and then used to have to have a lot of `.then` calls on promises, but now we have `async`/`await` so it looks basically like regular code.
gollark: One sort of nice but also sort of problematic thing about Go is that it uses green threads so operations like writing files look synchronous and you can write code accordingly, but are done asynchronously.
gollark: Strictly speaking it has generics, but hardcoded ones on arrays/channels/maps.
gollark: So you need `if err != nil { return err }` everywhere because it has no exceptions or stuff like `Option`.
gollark: Well, in most cases, if an error happens, a function needs to exit early, no?
