The Raven Lord (Ymirhart's version of the Raven Queen from 4E) is the god of death. He rules over a part of the Ethereal Plane used for the storage of the souls of the dead. It is thought that uttering the Raven Lord's true name, Gaillon, is very bad luck, so he is always called the Raven Lord. Once a mortal king, Gaillon managed to take control of the Ethereal Plane after his death. He resembles a man in tattered pale green robes carrying a hand-scythe, but is constantly aging. From his normal form as a middle-aged man, he grows old, his skin goes pale, then falls off until he is only a skeleton. Then he regrows his flesh and the cycle starts over. Due to this regeneration, the Raven Lord is nearly impossible to defeat in combat. His servants are the Halja.

Dogma

Gaillon is a greedy god. Highly lawful, he desires the souls of the dead and is fiercely protective of them. He is an enemy of liches and those that have been Resurrected, since they have cheated him out of gathering souls. If he detects them, he sends his Halja out at once to fetch the soul back. He is indifferent to the undead, save liches, as few of them have souls anyway.

Clergy and Temples

Priests of the Raven Lord wear pale green robes and wield hand-scythes if engaged in combat. They hunt down those that have cheated their god out of souls whenever possible, and often attend funeral rites. During funerals, they bless the bodies to aid them on their journey to the Ethereal Plane, and sometimes summon Halja if it is needed.
