Ranged Killer (5e Subclass)

Ranged Killer

Rogue Subclass
The Ranged Killer is an archetype geared towards the rogues who prefer a long-range fighting style.

Poison Specialist

At the 3rd level when you choose this archetype you gain proficiency with the poisoner's kit. Plus you gain the addition to your cunning action to apply poison to your weapon or ammunition with a bonus action.

Deadshot

When you choose this archetype at the 3rd level, you gain double proficiency in bows and crossbows, along with an added +1 damage, then it raises to +2 damage at 17th level. Additionally, with the blinding speed at which you load an arrow (or bolt), you do not incur disadvantage while firing a bow within 5 feet of an enemy. This features comes at the cost of losing proficiency in melee weapons.

Rain of Arrows

At the 9th level, you gain the ability to rain arrows down on your opponents. If you choose the attack action, you can expend a use of this ability to shoot arrows, within range, equal to your Dexterity modifier plus 1 on a 20-foot radius. You can do this a number of times equal to half of your Wisdom modifier plus 1. You regain charges after a long rest.

Silent Killer

At the 13th level, you master the ability to mask where your ammunition is along with silencing the shot, making it incredibly hard to track where you are based on ranged attacks. You must be in stealth for this to work, and you can be spotted regularly with a Wisdom (Perception) check. You gain advantage on stealth rolls when using this feature.

Headshot

At the 17th level, you know exactly how to cripple and kill your enemies. If you make a ranged attack you can choose to make it count as a critical hit and apply the stun effect. For one round, after you use Headshot, you cannot use your sneak attack feature. You can do this once per long rest.

gollark: Yes, and that's fine if phones have sensible headphone jacks like mine does.
gollark: Regular wired ones are, what, *£5*?!
gollark: REASONABLY PRICED?!
gollark: Great, I should pay money for an inferior solution!
