Pyris

The Pyris are a race of creatures native to the elemental plane of fire. They migrated to the material plane in an attempt to gain control of the new world. The Pyris thrive on power, they will do anything, and everything to have it.

Personality

Pyris are typically loud, and extremely vain. They tend to brag, and lack any form of modesty. They tend to wear gaudy armor of gold or other value metal/mineral. They love the heat, and despise the cold.

Physical Description

Pyris are beautiful creatures. They have bright red irises, and have perfect figures. They are unusually graceful. Their ages and heights are like that of Humans, but as they age they become more beautiful and agile.

Relations

Pyris see other races as tools to be used. They see themselves as superior, and justly so. Most tend to be nobles or high ranked officials in civilizations, this makes them despised by what they consider, 'the lesser races.'

Alignment

Pyris are typically Chaotic Neutral. They believe that the strong should have the power to do what they want, when they want to.

Lands

Pyris love the heat. They feel comfortable most where the heat is the highest. They are natives to the Plane of Fire, and are immune to its effects. The Pyris that have settled on the Material Plane tend to live in deserts, or hot cities.

Religion

Pyris tend to stray from religion, believing gods are a waste of time. They believe that ascension to godhood can be attained by any person that has the right amount of power.

Language

Pyris speak Ignis as a Bonus language.

Names

Pyris tend to have Roman style names, most of which are flamboyant and powerful.

Through the Flame (Su): A Pyris may travel using an open flame as a gate. Once a Pyris enters the flame, he exits on the otherside after 1d4 rounds. This ability may only be used 3/day,
Soul Aflame (Su): A Pyris uses all abilities and/or spells with the fire descriptor at +1 level.
Automatic Languages: Ignis. Bonus Languages: Any (other than secret languages, such as Druidic). See the Speak Language skill..
Favored Class: Sorcerer.
Level Adjustment: +1
