Primordial Patron (5e Subclass)

Your otherworldly patron is a powerful entity of an elemental plane. They include genies (the most common of such patrons), archons, primal elementals, the elemental Lords, and even titanic beings, such as Perpetos, the Timeless.

Upon creating your Primordial Warlock, you select an elemental type for your patron, as this determines your traits as you progress.


Bonus Proficiency

At level 1, you gain proficiency in the Primordial language.

Expanded Spell List

The Primordial lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you. Your spell list is determined by your elemental type. A (*) denotes a homebrew spell. A (ee) denotes a spell from the elemental evil material.

Primordial Bestowments

You gain a cantrip and language based on your primordial patron's element. You gain the spell absorb elements and always have it prepared. It is a warlock spell for you.

Timeless Nature

Beginning at 6th level, you can hold your breath indefinitely and you don't require food, water, or sleep, although you still require rest to reduce exhaustion and still benefit from finishing short and long rests. In addition, you age at a slower rate. For every 10 years that pass, your body ages only 1 year, and you are immune to being magically aged.

Elemental Protection

Starting at 10th level, you gain defensive abilities dependent on your element.

  • Air. You gain resistance to thunder and lightning.
  • Fire. You gain resistance to fire and radiant.
  • Water. You gain resistance to cold and acid.
  • Earth. Your AC is increased by 1, and your take 3 less damage from nonmagical piercing, slashing and bludgeoning damage (minimum of 1)

Attunement

at level 14 you gain the ability to transform into an elemental lord for 1 minute plus 1d8 after you learn this ability. Your stats and abilities become that of the titan, in addition to the ability, you also become the Alignment of the being.

Primordial Wrath

Also at 14th level In addition you gain a new spell based on your element to replace your level 6 arcanum . Air: Investiture of wind (ee) Fire:Investiture of flame (ee) Water:Investiture of ice (ee) Earth:Investiture of stone (ee)
