Personality

Evil Primeval live in Hives and have a hive mind, they revere and are controlled by a monarch called a Sovereign. Good Primeval live in Colonies, They are free willed and are ruled by a council.

Physical Description

Primeval have either dark brown or light gray exoskeleton. they have a large head similar to a roach and have four yellow eyes going horizontally across their face. their hands are small pinchers consisting of 2 fingers and a thumb, stand from 6-8' tall and have insect wings that allow them to navigate the massive cave systems they now call home.

Relations

Evil Primeval despise all other races. all they seek is revenge for forcing the Primeval to the dark depths of the world. Good Primeval respect most good or neutral beings, but tend to avoid evil at all costs. Good and Evil Primeval also consider themselves different species and have no respect for each other.

Alignment

although a large number of Primeval are good, most Primeval are evil. However, because evil Primeval have a hive mind, unless your playing as the Sovereign you must play as a good aligned character as you won't have the ability to make your own decisions otherwise.

Lands

since their exile from the surface, Primeval live far below the worlds crust in massive cave systems.

Religion

Primeval believe they evolved from an incorporeal race of beings they only refer to as "The Originals", beings of thought and knowledge.

Evil Primeval only revere their Sovereign. Good Primeval worship thought as that is the source of most of their power. Good Primeval have massive museums they use as temples. they have many rooms for meditation, knowledge and praying to the Originals.

Language

The Primeval speak the language of the Originals.

Names

Primeval names are usually words that have prophetic meaning. Example: Harbinger = A person or thing that announces or signals the approach of something

Racial Traits

  • +3 Intelligence, +4 Charisma, +2 Strength
  • Monstrous Humanoid
  • Medium
  • Primeval base land speed is 30 feet
  • Naturally Psionic: Primeval gain 3 bonus power points at 1st level. This benefit does not grant them the ability to manifest powers unless they gain that ability through another source, such as levels in a psionic class.
  • Improved Manifestation: Given a powerful mind brimming with power and knowledge, a Primeval has a +1 bonus to their manifester level for all psionic classes they possess, as well as their psi-like abilities. For example a level 2 psion psifelid has a manifester level of 3.
  • Telepathy: Primeval possess telepathy with any creature which is not immune to mind effecting affects. Its range extends out to 5 ft. for every HD you possess. They may attempt to speak with creatures with intelligence less than 3, but they only receive vague images and empathic replies.
  • Psi-Like Ability: At 18 HD- 3/Day Primeval Metamorphosis (turns target into ally Primeval). Manifester level is Character level +2. The save DC is Wisdom-based.
  • Automatic Languages: Original. Bonus Languages: n/a
  • Favored Class: Mental Cannibal, Legion Vanguard, Vermin Shadow.
  • Level Adjustment: +2
