Minotaur Variant

The plains reavers are a distant relative of the minotaurs. Unlike the overtly bovine mascot, plains reavers are of bison, not cattle and bulls. While the minotaurs were commonly evil monstrosities that towns would not tolerate, the plains reavers were never quite into worshiping Baphomet, and so were not under the curse. Some did turn towards the demon lord, but most of the plains reavers are peace-loving, having lived rather serene lives in the flatlands of Faerun, tilling the plans to farm. They put their skills towards dealing with animals and trading with caravans rather than outright militarism. They move a bit slower than minotaurs, and have thick shaggy coats to protect against harsh winds and colds. Many turn towards ranching as viable lifestyles, being rather good with both animals as well as reading the seasons for crops.

This variant replaces the Ability Score, Speed, and Menacing traits.

Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 2, and your Wisdom score increases by 1.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 25 feet.
Ranchers. You are proficient in either the Nature or Animal Handling skill.
Shaggy Coat. Your thick pelt gives you advantage in saving throws against cold damage.
