Phalekin

Physical Description

Phalekin are towering and stone-faced humanoids. Their skin is a soft, opalescent white color, their limbs thick and muscular and general body plan and features resembling a typical human. Each Phalekin has some form of slight imbalance in elemental makeup that causes them some strange aesthetic defect, such as cracks in their torso which glow with flame, small spheres of crystal blue water instead of eyes, or a single arm covered by rocky protrusions.

History

The Phalekin are constructs formed from equal portions of earth, water, fire and, air. The process of their creation is long lost and most casters have little interest in finding them. Although strong and capable of mental and physical growth surpassing humans, they have one fatal flaw that makes them a poor choice for a magic-user seeking some form of underling is their complete free will, seemingly uncontrollable by most typical means.

Phalekin Names

A majority of the time, Phalekin choose to name themselves something aligning with the race they interact with most, commonly using either human or dwarven names.

gollark: It seems to contain a U+061C ARABIC LETTER MARK.
gollark: Or, er, unprintable/weird ones.
gollark: Ah yes, it does seem to contain invalid characters of some sort.
gollark: Probably some weird text direction/unicode hack?
gollark: I poked it in inspect element, and weirdly enough it shows up with `(edited)` after it.
