Path of Rhonas (5e Subclass)
Path of Rhonas
Subclass for those of Amonkhet that follow their god along the path of Strength
Rhonas is the God of Strength that all of the people of Amonkhet look to for protection, very few don't aspire to be like him. Many emulate his brovado and his sense of fearlessness in the face of danger. It is not uncommon for the people of Naktamun to watch their god charging headlong into the dessert at an approaching demon and slaying it. It is just as common to see his followers running in his wake to hope to join the battle before he has slayed everything.
Proficiency Bonus
Starting when you choose this path at 3rd Level, you gain proficiency with Heavy Armour. You may also gain the Movement speed benefit from the Fast Movement trait, even whilst wearing Heavy Armour.
Indomitable Strength
When you choose this path at 3rd Level. When you make an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw using Strength, you may choose to add +10 to your roll. You make this choice after you see the roll, but before the DM says whether the roll succeeds or fails. After doing this, you may not do so again until the end of a short or long rest.
Last Stand
At 6th Level, whilst Raging, if you are rendered unconscious or killed, your character doesn't lose consciousness immediately. Instead, they fall prone and lose all reactions. At the beginning of their turn, they cough up a snake, that snake then grows to Huge size and continues fighting until the end of combat (See "Giant Constrictor Snake" in the Dungeons and Dragons Monster Manual). The Barbarian then loses consciousness and begins to roll Death Saving Throws, or, if the blow had been enough to kill them outright, they are immediately killed. At the end of combat, the snake disappears. You may only use this once per long rest.
Blades of Deathtouch
At 10th Level, you can channel your gods deathly touch into your weapons. Whilst Raging, your blades overflow with the Poison of Rhonas' Fangs themselves. At the end of each turn, every creature you dealt damage to this round must succeed a CON Saving throw (DC15) if they succeed, they take no damage, if they fail, they take 1D12 Poison damage.
Rhonas' Divine Fury
At 14th Level, you gain the ability to infuse your weapon strikes with divine energy. Once on each of your turns when you hit a creature with a weapon attack, while you are Raging, you can cause the attack to deal an extra 1d8 damage of the same type dealt by the weapon to the target. When you reach 16th level, the extra damage increases to 2d8.
