Nightmare (5e Deity)

Nightmare

Alignment. neutral evil
Domains. Power, Insanity, Death, Knowledge
Divine Rank. Greater Deity

The dark deity known as Nightmare is a being that originates from the dawn of the multiverse. Nightmare was created without a real purpose or drive, so he simply wanders the world, spreading madness and death. After a while, his counterpart, The Dream Weaver, managed to halt Nightmare’s insanity to a point where he no longer actively spread death. In the past, Nightmare has gone by several names, and because of this, has several small cults that all believe they serve a different deity. His cultists are those who are already insane and/or wish to drag the world down into the darkness. Every attempt to understand this dark being has caused strange calamities and everyone involved going insane.

gollark: Oh, of course.

gollark: Oops.
