Natural Magic (4e Sorcerer Variant)

You can select Natural Magic as your spell source in place of Dragon Magic or Wild Magic.

Natural Magic

Magic flows through all things, and an unusually large amount of magic flows through you. The magical power that flows through you is so great that it could not be held within you, so it burst forth, revealing your magical nature. Through force of will, you channel your own innate magical power.

Natural Power: You gain a [[4e Index (4e Other)#bonuses and penalties|bonus]] to the [[4e Index (4e Other)#damage roll|damage rolls]] of [[4e Index (4e Other)#arcane power source|arcane powers]] equal to either your [[4e Index (4e Other)#ability scores|dexterity]] [[4e Index (4e Other)#ability modifiers|modifier]] or [[4e Index (4e Other)#ability scores|intelligence]] [[4e Index (4e Other)#ability modifiers|modifier]]. The bonus increases to either your [[4e Index (4e Other)#ability scores|dexterity]] [[4e Index (4e Other)#ability modifiers|modifier]] +2 or [[4e Index (4e Other)#ability scores|intelligence]] [[4e Index (4e Other)#ability modifiers|modifier]] +2 at 11th level and either your [[4e Index (4e Other)#ability scores|dexterity]] [[4e Index (4e Other)#ability modifiers|modifier]] +4 or [[4e Index (4e Other)#ability scores|intelligence]] [[4e Index (4e Other)#ability modifiers|modifier]] +4 at 21st level. You choose the [[4e Index (4e Other)#ability scores|ability score]] this ability is based on at 1st level. This choice remains throughout your character's life and cannot be changed.

Elemental Soul: Choose a damage type: [[4e Index (4e Other)#cold|cold]], [[4e Index (4e Other)#fire|fire]], [[4e Index (4e Other)#force|force]] or [[4e Index (4e Other)#thunder|thunder]]. You gain [[4e Index (4e Other)#resist|resist]] 5 to that damage type. The resistance increases to 10 at 11th level and 15 at 21st level.
Your [[4e Index (4e Other)#arcane power source|arcane powers]] ignore any target's [[4e Index (4e Other)#resist|resistance]] to that damage type up to the value of your resistance.

Arcane Shield: You gain arcane shield as a [[4e Index (4e Other)#bonus feat|bonus feat]].

Healing Touch: You gain healing touch as a [[4e Index (4e Other)#bonus feat|bonus feat]].

gollark: I think in real life that probably happens because stuff is, well, harder, and also economies of scale.
gollark: I don't think anyone has ever made that work, though.
gollark: What would be cool is a modpack with per-player specialization and incentives to trade, so "you make a power plant and I'll ship you coal" is actually practical, instead of "we both have magic powerboxes".
