Nargacuga (3.5e Creature)


COMBAT

Nargacugas are highly aggressive and bloodthirsty, but cunning and will only take fights they know they can win with or escape easily. However once a battle has started they enjoy fighting, and it will go to extreme lengths to get its prey. Against preditors it tends to be more aggressive than with its prey.

The Nargacuga uses its superior stealth to its advantage, hiding in the shadows or bushes awaiting its prey. Gliding in and crushing opponents with its tail so they become easier targets for its bite attack. A Nargacuga will fight the weaklings in the group first, by using his Leaping Attack to get to them, but when the odds turn against him and the Nargacuga is on low HP, it makes a run for it. Waiting for its wounds to heal and then head back in.

The Nargacuga uses its bite, 2 claws, and most importantly its spiked tail to attack.

Fast Healing (Ex): A Nargacuga gains fast healing when it becomes a young adult, this always takes effect except if it has been hit by radiant damage.

Leaping Attack (Ex): A Nargacuga can jump into the air and glide to another spot within 30 feet of him, doing this it jumps over enemies allowing them to make an attack of opportunity at -4, when it lands it is allowed to make a bite attack.

Mighty Roar (Ex): The powerful roar of an old Nargacuga can cause creatures in a 30 feet cone to become shaken for 1d6 rounds. The DC for this roar is 21 Will save.

Pain Mastery (Ex): Due to the rage the Nargacuga gets when it is on the losing side, it gains +2 Strength for every 50 hitpoints it loses. These extra points of Strength will last until the end of combat.

Tail Slam (Ex): On a successful tail attack the Nargacuga can attempt to crunch the opponent, Reflex safe 10 + Str + 1/2HD, on a failed reflex safe the opponent is unconscious for one round.

Skills: A Nargacuga gains a +8 on Hide during the night or in dim light due to its dark skin and sneaky nature, it always gains a +4 on Move Silently and Escape Artist.
