Multiplectic (5e Race)
Multiplectic
Physical Description
Multiplectics resemble humans, but those who pay close attention will notice that they vibrate ever so slightly.
History
Multiplectics have always been highly endangered. They evolved in such a way that they could reproduce sexually or asexually, in the latter case creating a new multiplectic which would magically carry different traits from the parent. Unfortunately, as time passed, their ability weakened. Now, when a multiplectic divides itself, the clone is not an individual; it is identical to the parent, and lives for barely more than a few hours before crumbling to dust.
Society
Multiplectics are ironically rather unsociable. They tend to have quiet countenances and shy away from large groups of people. Despite this, they can be very friendly folks if you earn their trust. They are raised by their parent or parents for five to eight years, then are sent to live on their own. They usually wander as nomads for 5-10 years before settling. Occasionally there will be a multiplectic settlement with only multiplectics, but such instances are rare, and they are difficult to find, as they are usually deep in the jungle, high in the mountains, or deep underground.
Multiplectic Names
Multiplectics carry the unique trait of living with a parent, but never actually receiving a name. When they leave their home, they give themselves their own name. Because of their naming process, the names of Multiplectics can be as outlandish or as simple as they choose. They are born fully grown, sprung from the mind of their multiplectic parent.
Multiplectic Traits
A creature which can divide and clone itself at will.

Size. Medium
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Clone Self. On your turn, you may create one clone of your character and locate it adjacent to the original. The clone has only 5 HP (however never more than you, if you have less than 5 HP), and only 6 clones may exist at any one time. Clones carry all of the physical equipment of the parent (except magical equipment, which they clone as a non-magical equivalent of the magical equipment), and can cast cantrips, but no other spells. They take telepathic orders from the parent, however otherwise act similarly to the parent. Other than this, the clone is completely identical to the parent, but can be distinguished on a Perception check due to their lack of a vibrating effect. Clones cannot clone themselves, even if commanded to.
Clone Burst. Once every two days, you can clone all 6 of your clones simultaneously in a hexagon each 5 feet away from you.
Languages. Common and one other of your choice.
