Mimic Slime

Physical Description

Mimic slimes are small round and colorful (varing from a pure blue to a full rainbow). Their color is determined by their origin and their diet (a mimic slime from a snowy region is far more likley to be a lighter blue to blend in with their surroundings). They posses no mouth nor eyes as they still retain most of the features of a slime.

History

Mimic slimes are a branch of normal slimes that were formed from a bounty of magic in they world conjoining with a normal slime. this evolution happened several hundred years after the evolution of the main races. The term mimic slime was coined by an elf who witnessed their innate ability to polymorph.

Society

Mimic slimes society is very reclusive tending to consist of only small groups of them (consisting of groups of 2-3 families) so their society varies tremendously depending on regions being as they are considered monsters many races typically try to avoid these groups.

Mimic Slime Names

Male: Memi, Joji, Slmith, Sledge

Female: Neno, Minosu, Simsue

Mimic Slime Traits

A Slime with the ability to morph into other objects or people but their hair will retain their original color.
Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 2, and your Dexterity score increases by 1.
Age. Mimic Slimes live forever unless killed.
Alignment. Alignment is changeable.
Size. Mimic slimes are 2 feet tall and weigh about 20 pounds. Your size is Small.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 25 feet.
Blindsight. You can perceive your surroundings without having to rely on sight. You can perceive the space you are occupying as if you had blindsight up to 60 ft around you.
Fluid Form. Typical restraints can't hold you. While you are conscious you may slide out of any rope or restraints. You can also move into and through a space as narrow as 1 inch without squeezing.
Mimic. Mimic slimes can polymorph into a Medium or smaller object/creature once before needing to take a short or long rest. When polymorphed mimic slimes feel slightly wet to the touch and retain a slightly fluid form. Therefore retaining the fluid form trait regarding restraints.
Great Sage. due to having existed for a long time and knowledge gained from polymorphing, the mimic slime has a vast knowledge of items. As an action, you can ingest a Small or smaller object and cast the identify spell, requiring no material components, and you regain the ability to cast it this way when you finish a short or long rest.
Languages. You can speak, read and write Common and one other language of your choice.
