Mage plate is a combination of chain links smelted from Mithral overlapping sliver-like layers of a rare material called obsidian; found inside of remote volcanoes, making a suit of armor that is both incredibly light and still hard enough to protect against attacks while the Obsidian allows for Arcane spells to function as normal while being worn.
