Liu Xing Chui (3.5e Equipment)
A meteor hammer has reach, so you can strike opponents 10 feet away with it. In addition, unlike most other weapons with reach, you can use it against foes anywhere within your reach (including adjacent foes). If you have Weapon Focus (meteor hammer) and +11 BAB, your reach is increased to 15 ft.

You can make trip attacks with the meteor hammer. If you are tripped during your own trip attempt, you can drop the meteor hammer to avoid being tripped. If you succeed at a trip attempt with a meteor hammer, you can drag your opponent 5 feet closer to you rather than knocking them prone.
When using a meteor hammer, you get a +2 bonus on opposed attack rolls made to disarm an opponent (including the roll to avoid being disarmed if such an attempt fails).
Someone not proficient with a meteor hammer hits them self on a 5 or less, and gets a -5 to damage. On a natural 1, you hit yourself, even if you are proficient.
The meteor hammer is a special monk weapon. This designation gives a monk wielding a meteor hammer special options.
