History

While believed to be one of the longest lived races on the face of Yanos it is hard to pinpoint how much of the known history of the vulpine race is genuine. ~1500 hundreds years ago the Kitsune fled from Undal due to the persecution that followed them wherever they went and fled to two islands now known as Odakai and Onlo. While the Onlo tend to be recluses fending off the occasional attempted invasion by the pirates and barbarians of the Undrik Empire, the Oda have been joined with the humans of Odakai for centuries, and recently made more strides to join the world at large once more hoping to dispel the rumors of old

Society

The Oda have been integrated with the native race of humans since their earliest dynasties and often are held in high regard as some of the greatest advisors of the nation. It is natural for an Oda to be good at working in teams as they tend to be very sociable, preferring those within their family and associated community. When it comes to strangers however they are very reserved and refuse to show their true form to these outsiders.

Meanwhile the Onlo kitsune tend to be brash and generally mistrusting of the outside world as a whole only accepting their small tribes and generally being hostile to non kitsune. It is not for mere discomfort that the Onlo tend to stay in their true form it is a sense of pride and stubborn disposition to the world that hunted and ridiculed them for so long.

gollark: (because it's bad, and won't do that automatically)
gollark: (technically it also has some code to force it to respond to an instant-lose/instant-win situation)
gollark: It is funny that people keep losing to a fairly trivial piece of code which just decides how good a move is by playing 100 *entirely random games* starting from it and seeing how many it wins.
gollark: Okay, I am now decreasing my estimate of your programming competence.
gollark: I don't know if there's a general strategy. The main thing to exploit is that the AI can't really respond to two threats at once.
